On 27 November 1992, a failed coup d'etat attempt was made in Venezuela, with involvement from the air force on both sides. Twenty years later, a commemoration parade was organised in which this F-16A would participate, among many other aircraft. This picture was made during one of the rehearsals for the air parade and shows the unusual camouflage colours for an F-16.

Parked on the flightline and ready to participate in the rehearsals for the commemoration of the 27 November 1992 Coup Attempt, 1041 was one of the first group of Venezuelan F-16s delivered in 1983.

During CRUZEX13 Venezuelas Aviación Militar Nacional Bolivariana participated with a number of General Dynamics F-16A Block 15K Fighting Falcons. This one (1041 / 9P-1) of Grupo Aéreo de Caza 16 Dragones had special markings celebrating 30 years of the unit.

Two Syrian MiG-17s, 1033 and 1041, landed at Betzet in northern Israel after the pilots lost their way. After test flights by the Israelis, both jets were given to the United States. 1033 is visible on the right here. A Polish Lim painted as 1033 is in the Hatzerim museum. This Farmer-E was TOC with the 1.slp (1st Fighter Regiment) in February 1961 and was decomissioned in August 1972. It has been recently donated to the Letecké Muzeum Libořezy, where it will be reassembled and receive lots of TLC.
