On 27 November 1992, a failed coup d'etat attempt was made in Venezuela, with involvement from the air force on both sides. Twenty years later, a commemoration parade was organised in which this F-16A would participate, among many other aircraft. This picture was made during one of the rehearsals for the air parade and shows the unusual camouflage colours for an F-16.

Parked on the flightline and ready to participate in the rehearsals for the commemoration of the 27 November 1992 Coup Attempt, 1041 was one of the first group of Venezuelan F-16s delivered in 1983.

During CRUZEX13 Venezuelas Aviación Militar Nacional Bolivariana participated with a number of General Dynamics F-16A Block 15K Fighting Falcons. This one (1041 / 9P-1) of Grupo Aéreo de Caza 16 Dragones had special markings celebrating 30 years of the unit.
