Taking the departure wave off at Toronto's old terminal 1. While this one was delivered to Trans-Canada Airlines in 1961, all of the Vanguards were withdrawn by 1972. It was broken up at Montreal in 1973.

It served Trans Canada Airlines and Air Canada from November 1961 until retired in August 1973 and broken up at Montreal. DC-9-32 CF-TMI is parked next to the Vanguard.

Delivered new to Trans Canada Airlines in December 1960. Sold in April 1969. Operated by Invicta from March 1971 until withdrawn in May 1973.

First flying on 6.6.62, this Vanguard takes the honour of being both the last to be built and the last to perform a passenger service, in late Oct 1987 (Jakarta-Medan-Jakarta). Firstly CF-TKW with TCA and sold by Air Canada to EAS as F-BTOV 4.72, operating their final Vanguard pax flight Orly-Perpignan on 8.1.81; to Merpati in May that year. Sold back to EAS for spares and ferried to PGF 12.87. Remains were apparently moved to a location in the Pyrenees near Spanish border for use as a rescue trainer
