Procured by the USAAF as 44-72902 but delivered to the Royal Canadian Air Force as 9564. Sold in 1960 to civilian owner. Modified with cut down cockpit for racing.

RAF Mustang IVA ex 44-11588 at Ringway in early 1945 when being delivered by the based 14 Ferry Pool, Air Transport Auxiliary. It later served 19 Squadron at RAF Peterhead in Scotland. Obtained from an ATA pilot 50 years ago.

An early Mustang I built before the P-51 type number was allocated. Newly delivered to 613 (City of Manchester) Squadron and still wearing the initial NA-applied camouflage. The code letters are superimposed over the serial. Used by 613 in the Army co-operation role. From the squadron archive.

ZK-TAF was an ex Royal Canadian Air Force aircraft sold into the US civil market in 1959. It came to New Zealand in 1985 for renowned warbird collector, Sir Tim Wallis. It has had several owners since and remained on the Kiwi register in September 2017.

The Mustang looks so modern after all these years. This beauty was delivered to the Netherlands East Indies air force at the end of World War II. It was used in the Dutch 'policing actions', then handed over to the Indonesians. In 1958 it was involved in operations against CIA-backed forces in the Moluccas.
