Arriving from Fort Lauderdale when positioning for Chalks scheduled service from Miami Harbour via Bimini to Nassau, Bahamas.

Until the mid 1990s Miami was an interesting place for aviation enthousiasts. The international airport had many rare sights to offer, but the town's harbour wasn't bad either! From their small base on Watson Island, Chalk's operated scheduled flights to several Caribbean islands. Here one of their Grumman Albatrosses can be seen shortly after touchdown, with Miami's large cruise liner terminal in the background.

Seen here at her home base, this highly attractive Albatross was formerly a USCG 'Goat' serialled 2132, derived from previous USAF serial 52-132. Often appears at Sun'n'Fun and Oshkosh. Owned by Don Rhynalds/Skybound Inc.

Ex RCAF and Chile, one of two acquired by the RMAF as recently as the mid eighties, but only operated for three years due to poor reliability. This example is now displayed in a white scheme. The other is also preserved in Malaysia

Was operated by Pan Am from 1969 until 1971, under military marks, on a weekly service as PA163 from Mombasa, Kenya to a satellite tracking station at Mahe, Seychelles.
