The MIACO facility on the old Safi side of Malta's airport handled a large number of ex-military Caribous over the years, this example still carrying Tanzanian AF markings and having been delivered by DHC as JW9003 in 9.66. Although scrapped in 11.86, the remains of the airframe were used in a PT-6 turboprop mock-up and the fuselage was still extant in the early 90s

Ansett-MAL titles have been removed in preparation for a ferry flight to the US where it became N11HB. Ex-CF-SOD, it was delivered to Ansett-MAL in 1965. Restrictions placed on its STOL operations in Papua New Guinea meant the airline could not exploit its full potential.

Taken from cockpit of another Caribou soon after takeoff from Richmond (YSRI). The plan was to rendezvous with a formation of all 24 RAAF C-130 Hercules in service at the time. In a rare event, all would be at Richmond that day. The scheme was thwarted when one was called away for a sea search. The remaining 23 performed a flyover of Sydney Harbour with the two Caribous as photo platforms
