Nowadays this Hunter is suspended at the RAFM Cosford, wearing 1950s silver colours with yellow "trainer" bands..

Built as a B2, and converted to TT18 circa 1968 for service with the Royal Navy and later FRADU. Displayed then stored at Staverton from mid 1995, at some point being registered as N2138J. Arrived at South Wales Aviation Museum on 17 August 2022 for preservation.

Ex Sierra Leone AF, QA23 (Qatar AF), G-17-26. Arrived at St Athan from storage at Lee-on-Solent on 11 May 2023. Displayed in the SWAM hangar since 3 September 2023, taking the place of Sea King HC4 ZG822.

Ex 4W-ABQ, HZ-ADA, G-APSA, C-FZCY, C-FMCK, CF-MCK. Registration cancelled on 17 May 2021 as permanently withdrawn from use. Dismantled and moved from Coventry to St Athan during 2021 for preservation with SWAM. Seen here in the process of reassembly for eventual display.

Previously used for ground instruction at Cosford as 8951M. Arrived at SWAM St Athan in May 2023.

On the late Evening 28th July 2023 28 (AC) Chinook ZD575 suffered a rear engine technical issue while on Exercise Kukri Dawn from RAF Valley in Anglesey. This forced the crew to put her down in a field near the village of Arthog near Dolgellau in North Wales, narrowly missing overhead power lines. This spot is next to the River Mawddach. The crew were taken in by local villagers offering refreshments. In the image you can see heavy lifting equipment ready to lift the Chinook out from the soft ground and place her on a more solid surface. The Chinook recovered safely to RAF Benson later this day.

Just above the fin flash is a tiny squadron badge, but I cannot figure out of what unit this is.

Ex F-WWDQ. Arrived at St. Athan on 28 June 2023 for scrapping.

Painted in BOAC retro livery in 2019 for BA's centenary, then stored at Cardiff in March 2020 before going to St Athan on 11 December 2020 for preservation as a 'gate guard'. Sadly this ended in mid August 2023 when scrapping commenced, and the airframe was moved to the scrapping area on 22 August 2023. It had perished by 25 October 2023.

Ex OY-SEI. Previously operated by Transavia. Arrived at St Athan on 9 January 2023, and withdrawn from use.

Ex ER-AXL, EI-FFY, B-6156, D-AVXJ. Impounded at Verona on 2 March 2023, and arrived at St Athan on 24 May 2023.
