Delivered to the USAAF as 42-100884 in 1943. To the RAF as TS423 in 1944. After the war she went to Short Brothers, Scottish Aviation, Marshalls and Ferranti. At Ferranti she acquired a non standard nose for testing air pass radar for the Lightning fighter. Saved from the scrapman by Aces High in 1979 and registered as G-DAKS. Painted in ficticious Ruskin Air Services colours with fake reg G-AGHY for the TV series Airline. Reregistered as N147DC in 1998.

Painted in the fictional markings of Ruskin Air Services for filming and wearing the equally fictional registration 'G-AGHY'.

This aircraft was displaying a false registration. It was in fact G-DAKS and tha airline markings were for a Television drama series called Airline
