It's interesting to see that the unit marking on this nice MS.733 Alcyon is often misread as "105", and is often thought to be a serial. It carries the markings it wore when it served with Aeronautique Navale with serial No 74. It became F-BKOI on 10 Oct 1962, and has kept that registration ever since, with various owners. Initially flew in yellow colours, but by 1999 it had been painted in the markings seen here. On 21 Sep 2012 it was registered to Association Train Classique, and based at Roanne.

Striking and unusual colours on this Kaydet. This aircraft is ex US Navy N2S-3 4320, which by 1964 had become N62418. In the 1970s and 1980s it was used as a cropduster, based in Louisiana. Eventually withdrawn from use, the registration was cancelled on 9 Jan 1990. Jean Salis had bought it, and it was registered to him on 27 Apr 1990 as F-AZGR. Sold in 2003 and registered to Jean Marc Viard and three others on 22 Aug 2003. Initially painted in green "Air BP" colours, promoting BP Oil. By 2013 it had been painted in these nice tiger colours.

Falsely painted as US Navy N2S-3 4273, but is in fact ex USAAF Stearman PT-13D 42-17493. Had become N5358N by 1964 and went through various owners until it suffered an accident at Petaluma, CA on 31 Aug 1990. The damaged aircraft was acquired by the Salis Family, and the registration was cancelled on export to France on 3 Mar 1992. Following rebuild and painting in the markings seen here, it was registered to Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis as F-AZJR on 22 Mar 1996.

This aircraft is a Junkers-built fuselage (c/n 24?), mated with CASA-built wings. The finished aircraft received new CASA c/n 103. It served with the Spanish AF as T.2B-212 until struck off charge on 28 Nov 1975 and sold as G-BECL the following year. Its current owners, Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis, acquired this venerable aircraft in 1990, and from 1991 until 2003 it was painstakingly restored and rebuilt. Its first post-restoration flight was on 24 Apr 2003, and AJBS still operated it at airshows by 2019!

This Lockheed 12 was originally delivered in Aug 1941. In 2008 it was painted to resemble Amelia Earhart's famous Lockheed 10 NR16020 (c/n 1055), in which she attempted to fly around the world but disappeared without a trace on 2 Jul 1937. This aircraft was used in the 2008 movie "Amelia", together with another Lockheed 12 (N2072).

Brand new acquisition for AVA, arrived at La Ferté-Alais on delivery 10 May 2016. This immaculate Beech was delivered in 1953 as N2913B, and has carried that registration during its entire career. In 2016 it had registration F-HLOS reserved, and by July 2016 this had also been painted on the tail, but it was never actually registered as such and by June 2017 it had been removed from the aircraft. The Beech was offered for sale in 2019, and registered to Qualitair in Michelstadt, Germany in May 2020.

Not much left of its fake Luftwaffe markings, this Broussard is definitely in need of a new coat of paint. In fact I think it looked a whole lot better when I saw it seven years earlier at Reims-Prunay. The sticker on the front simply says "MH-1521 N° 13".

Although registered in Hungary, this Antonov is based at Dax, France. It is operated by GenAIRation Antonov, and carries their logo and "www.genantonov.org" between the windows and the top wing. The logo on the forward fuselage below the cockpit is that of Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque - Enfants du Monde, an association that allows children to receive heart operations in France if they can't be treated in their home countries. Unfortunately this Antonov did not take to the sky on either show day.
