After an interesting history flying for famous companies like Seaboard World, Flying Tigers and Atlas Air and Federal Express this airplane ended up in Spain. Briefly flying for Pronair in its famous purple outfit. Pronair went out of business in 2009, and the airplane was abandoned at the airport in Valencia. It was still there in 2023. I managed this photo from the main terminal shooting across the runway late afternoon.

Just over 3 minutes earlier a Saudi 747SP had departed on this runway, 25L, at LAX! What are the odds of that? This one is operated by Las Vegas Sands Corporation, and carries their distinctive colours.

After about 3 hour on the ground this 747SP left LAX...but the real treat came with the next aircraft to land on the same runway was also a 747SP! what are the odds of that?

Delivered on 26th November 2012 as TF-AMF to Air Atlanta Icelandic, Iceland. Leased on 20th October 2015 to Air Bridge Cargo and returned on 6th November 2016 to Air Atlanta Icelandic. Delivered on 13th November 2017 as N262JM to Kalitta Air, re-rgd. N703CK on 5th February 2018.

Acquired Jul 99 ex ZK-NZV Air New Zealand and stored Mojave by Mar 2002. Later to Transaero Airlines (Russia) VP-BQE. Retired May 2011 and used by Transaero as cabin trainer. TT: 67705 hours and 17901.

Leased to Air Atlanta Icelandic Feb 2001 for just a month as TF-ATL. Returned Mar 2001 and two months after that it went back on the Spanish register but as EC-HVD. Retired Oct 2004. TT: 82482 hours and 12619 cycles.

Nine months later it was with Atlas Air as N540MC. Converted to cargo 243B(F)SCD Jun 2001. Retired and parked Mojave CA. Jul 2011. TT: 97038 hours and 21903 cycles.
