Strikingly, four black Bell 412s were seen on the platform of Ratmalana, all four carried the same serial, "SUH-522". There are six of them, and serials involved are reportedly SUH-523 (c/n 33097), SUH-525 (33095), and Bell 412EPs SUH-527 (36225), SUH-528 (36249), SUH-529 (36557) and SUH-530 (36558). They are assigned to the 4 (VIP/VVIP) Helicopter Squadron "Anywhere, Anytime, Safely" that also operates Bell 212 and Mi-171E types. This 522 showed construction number plate 36558 and is really SUH-530. The other 412s showed no exact IDs to the 4Aviation travellers.

Originally built in 1988 as N3207D, it was subsequently registered F-GKAK and N4380K before taking up F-OIOL. It was later registered VH-HQQ, P2-HCS and C-FECM but is now current back in Australia as VH-82E. (Credit: www.rotorspot.nl).

From CFB Gagetown (NB) this 403 squadron CH-146 Griffon took part in the Binghamton Air Show 2007.

This 1981 built helicopter is amog the first produced and thus one of the oldest Bell 412 still flying. It started its career in Australia as VH-XCF with CareFlight QLD before joining Heli Austria in May 2016. Swiss operator Lions Air chartered OE-XHT for the winter season 2016/2017 and based it at Sion, after which Heli Austria assigned it to a fire fighting contract in Spain. A couple of years ago, Heli Austria started to paint each of its helicopters in a unique color, and most wear a nicer layout like this all black color. At least 5 Bell 412's have so far been operated by Heli Austria.
