It left the storage depot for Tracor Flight Systems Inc., Mojave (CA) and was converted to QF-100F in 1989. It received drone code 395. It was shot down over the Gulf of Mexico by an AIM-9M on 12 July 1990. To avoid being stabbed, the pitot tube of the F-100 was able to raise.

Damaged when hit by an AIM-120 fired by a F-15 while operating from Holloman AFB on 22 Feb'88. The drone was recovered at Northrop Strip but was not repaired. In mid-'96 it went to the Evergreen Heritage Collection at Marana (AZ) with intentions for restauration with parts of F-100 56-2992, but that was cancelled.
