Buccaneer S.2B of No. 16 Squadron based at RAF Laarbruch, Germany. It crashed near Osnabruck on 18 July 1979.

This view of a pair of 809 NAS Buccs shows the robust construction which earned the type various nicknames including 'The Brick'. XN982 was production aircraft no. 49, originally ordered in 1961 as an S.1 but not accepted until 3.65 at Lossiemouth. Damaged at Cecil Field, FL, some time after this photo, returned to UK as deck cargo and to 19 MU St Athan. Scrapped at Brough 7.92. XV868 behind was also scrapped in the same year, at Elgin

Unit: 801 Sqn. On board the HMS Victorious which was visiting Sydney. XN982 was damaged in Florida by a tractor on June 30, 1978 and returned to the UK as deck cargo for repair. The work was never completed and XN982 became a fatigue test aircraft before being scrapped.

The first new build Martel capable Buccaneer delivered in 1968, XV352 flew first with A&AEE Boscombe Down for weapons trials. Photographed at Cold Lake participating in Maple Flag exercises, it would later be a Gulf War veteran (Operation Granby). Retired with the rest of the Buccaneers in 1994, it was scrapped. The nose section was saved, however and it's presently on display at the RAF Manston History Museum, Kent.

Wears the Fox symbol of No. 12 Squadron, based at RAF Honington, Suffolk. Exhibited at the Queen's Silver Jubilee Review at RAF Finningley.

Delivered to the Fleet Air Arm in December 1965. Served 736B Squadron based at RNAS Lossiemouth. Struck off charge in November 1971.

Buccaneer S2B of No. 15 Squadron from RAF Laarbruch West Germany at the Queens Silver Jubilee air show at RAF Finningley. It wears the squadron's 'XV' marking on its fin. Now preserved at Bruntingthorpe.
