Esq 503 "Golfinhos" had been based at Lajes with a few Aviocars. This particular one ended up at Tuscon, Arizona, USA.

Seen in a hangar at Lajes. This Gina still seems to be stored at this air base in the Azores. It has been marked as 5414, but this is a fake serial (the last digit in the serial on the tail seems to be overpainted at some point). It's real identity should be 5415.

This ex USAF KC-130T used to be 83-0503 before it went to the USMC as 162785. It is now stored at AMARG.

This is ARM's airborne laboratory for atmospheric research, operated by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE). This G-159 was acquired and converted in 1987, initially operating for the DoE's Atmospheric Chemistry Program and later for their Aerosol Science Program. It served for the ARM program since 2010, and made its last operational landing on 17 Dec 2018 at its base at Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco, WA, after completing a scientific campaign in Argentina. It was replaced by Challenger 850 N850RJ in June 2019 which, following conversion and training, was expected to be ready for its ARM duties in 2023.

SATA currently uses six DHC-8 series aircraft to link the nine island's forming the Azores. Those aircraft are registered CS-TRB through CS-TRG. The Dash 8 fleet consists of two short -200 and four longer -400 aircraft, giving the company a perfect mix to adapt to the inter-island passenger demand. CS-TRC was built in 1997 and has previously been registered as C-FWBB (Bombardier), N347PH (Horizin Air) and C-FXBZ. Joint SATA in July of 2009.

This 2004 built Ruslan was supposed to go to GATS Guinea as UR-CCX but was never taken up. It went to Abu Dhabi based Maximus Air Crago instead, where it is the only AN124 operated among an IL-76 and a L-100-30 Hercules. At one time, the company also had an Airbus A300-600 freighter in its fleet.

With US FY number 11-0110, this particular C-17 is the last of ten units sold to the Indian AF in 2010 through the FMS program. Delivered between January 2013 and September 2014, this batch carries tailnumbers CB-8001 through CB-8010. In 2017, an eleventh C-17 registered CB-8011 (ex N272ZD) was sold to India, but this last plane was only delivered in August of 2019. All indian C-17's are operated by 81 Squadron "Skylords" out of Hindon AFS (Uttar Pradesh).

SATA International has now been renamed to Azores Airlines. Mount Pico, with 2351 meters (7713 feet) the highest peak in Portugal, can be seen in the background.
