This Tiger Moth has an interesting history: built in Australia for a Netherlands East Indies order and civil registered PK-VVT. Shipped out of the NEI and loaned to the RAAF in 1942. Allocated RAAF serial A17-624 and taken on charge 7 March 1942 at 1 EFTS, Parafield. Sold post-war, becoming VH-AMH(2) on 26 July 1951. Withdrawn in January 1965, but restored as VH-TIG on 10 April 1968.

This Tiger is unusual in that it does not seem to have had a post-war history until 2007! Ex RAAF T5458 and civil registered as VH-KBX from 1982 to 2006 when it was withdrawn from use. Restored to the register as VH-KPQ in 2017 but the poor condition of the wings brought the rebuild to a halt.
