Ex RAAF A81-3, VH-SJQ was registered in March 1970. After Jetair failed, it was sold to Air Express which operated it across Bass Strait from Melbourne to Tasmania. On May 10, 1975 -SJQ suffered an engine failed and was unable to maintain altitude. It ditched short of the Victorian coast. Both pilots perished.

Ex RAAF, VH-SJG was among a collection of aircraft purchased by Jetair. Jetair never really got going before it failed. Most of its fleet was acquired by the government and exported as aid. But -SJG remained and flew on until 1978 carrying cargo over Bass Strait. It ran out of flying hours and was bought by aircraft collector Malcolm Long. In 1988 he donated it the RAAF Museum at Point Cook where it is displayed in its original markings as A81-1.

This 170 Freighter was first registered G-AIMI and transferred to the RAAF as WB482, later A81-1, in January 1949. On May 8 1970 it was registered VH-SJG with Jet Airlines of Australia and later flew with Air Express. It was reacquired by the RAAF and restored as A81-1 for the Point Cook Museum.
