The aircraft crashed during a landing at Allen Lake, NWT on August 25, 1947 while being operated by Charter Airways, Yellowknife, NWT. Stan Edkins salvaged EIH in August 1993, and the Alberta Aviation Museum restored the aircraft from 1994-1997. Mackenzie Air Services was the largest civilian operator of the Norseman. Although "EIH" was not one of them, it has been refinished in Mackenzie Air Services colours.

Operated by Palmer at Yellowknife, Northwest Territories from 1968 to 1984. Recovered from the bush and restored back to flying condition by J W 'Whitey' Hosteller of Red Lake, Ontario in 1995 and donated in 1998. It still carries the 'Wide Load' sign it used during the long road journey. The inscription reads 'In memory of Zane Palmer'. Seen inside the Western Canada Aviation Museum reserve store building.
