A very nice and huge replica

Used by the 1926 Stirling New Guinea expedition, The Ern was a Bréguet 14 B2 bomber rebuilt with a corrugated metal fuselage and a Liberty engine in the USA by Wilfred Yackey's company. The aircraft served the expedition admirably for two months, making two or three supply flights a day, but was abandoned as the glue on the wooden floats deteriorated. The single worldwide flying aircraft of this type. She is still temporary registered and made a flight to salute all the participants of the "Toulouse / St Louis du Sénégal" air rally 2005.

This rarely seen Breguet XIV is a replica which is the single worldwide flying aircraft of this type. She is in "Lignes Latécoéres" livery which was a very famous French airmail airline before second world war.

After the war a two seat passenger version was built and in total as many as 7800 may have been built. Very few survive. This example was displayed at the Musee de l'Air prior to the move to Le Bourget where it is now exhibited

The Breguet 14 was pretty fast and one of the best reconnaissance bombers of the Great War. After the war it went on to play an important role as a mailplane, especially with Lignes Aériennes Latécoère. This machine, first flown in 2003, has a nicely concealed modern Lycoming engine and the new designation Breguet 14P, which I'd say relieves it from being a replica.
