73-1155 leading a flightline of T-43A Gators. The modified 737-200 was used by the USAF for training navigators. The USAF had 19 on strength. The T-43 was retired by the USAF Air Education and Training Command in 2010 after 37 years of service. They were initially assigned to the 455th Flying Training Squadron, part of the 323rd Flying Training Wing of the Air Training Command (ATC) at Mather AFB (CA), plus two additional aircraft assigned to the Colorado ANG at Peterson AFB (CO) to support introductory air navigation training for cadets at the USAF Academy. The 323rd was inactivated in 1993.

The multi finstripe shows the fintip colours of all Phantom squadrons based at Seymour Johnson. The Phantom was retired from service on 11 June 1991 when it was stored at AMARC as FP0692. Early 2021, the Spook was still parked in that desert storage area.
