This aircraft was originally built by DHA at Mascot for the RAAF as A17-417 with cn 592. Somewhere along the line it gained the rebuild cn T185, probably after a crash. It was civilianised in May 1946 as VH-ART. This shot was taken at the Kyneton Easter Airshow in the hands of 'Captain Boggles' - you can even see some toilet paper on the tailplane, remains of some streamer-cutting.

In 1958 it was acquired by Super Spread and converted to a cropduster (imagine that!). In 1963 it was re-registered in 'their' block as VH-SSB, replacing an earlier one. Currently restored and maintained in excellent condition by De Havilland collector Ken Orrman at Shep. Lovely!
