Well-hidden in a large barn full of historic aircraft and historic cars, the museum at Albert is proud to have this C-47 on display. It arrived with the collection on 14 April 2004 and is ex F-GEOA, French Navy 720 / 76420, French AF 476420, RAF KN379 and USAAF 44-76420. It came from the Musée de l'Aéronautique de Nancy, which was forced to close in 2000.

Apparently carrying a fake serial, as it is actually ex. F-GEOA, 720, KN379 and 44-76420. Part of the amazing collection that this place has going on. 3 hangars full of aircraft, old cars, aircraft/airport equipment and aviation memorabilia. Space is tight though and not always suitable for a 'clean' shot, but this place is absolutely well worth a visit and probably the best 5 Euros I spent on this trip.

It came from the Musée de l'Aéronautique de Nancy, which sustained severe damage during a storm in Dec 1999 and was forced to close in 2000. As can be seen in this photo, by 2009 the aircraft carried fake serial "2108979" and code K and the right side of the fin. The left side of the fin was devoid of any markings.

This C-47D (ex F-GEOA, French Navy 720 / 76420, French AF 476420, RAF KN379 and USAAF 44-76420) was acquired by the museum in the early 2000s. The aircraft is actually 44-76420, KN379, 476420, 720 and F-GEOA. This photo also gives an indication of the Betrancourt collection with some of the aircraft impossible to photograph as they are so tightly packed. The glider under the DC3 is a rare Caudron C-800 Epervier
