1959: TOS USN as A4D-2 145011 and assigned to VA-106, NAS Cecil Field, FL. 7/62: Redesignated A-4B. 2/63: NAS Quonset Point, RI. 4/63: NARTU, NAS South Weymouth, MA. 10/66: VA-210 at South Weymouth. 8/68: Converted to TA-4B. 11/70: VA-210 moved to NAF Detroit, MI. 18 Jan 1971: SOC. By 1/89: Isaac N. Burchinal Jr; registered N21NB. 2/98: Ran off the runway at Ft. Worth Meacham Airport and was badly damaged, so it was donated to the "Air Zoo," where it was restored marked as an A-4 with the Australian Navy.

Originaly built for USAF as 59-1604. Transferred to the US Navy and given Bureau Number 591604. Initially assigned to the US Navy TOPGUN school as an aggressor aircraft, later assigned to US Navy Test Pilot School. Acquired by the museum in 2000, still in USNTPS markings. In 2017 591604 was repainted in the exact TOPGUN markings it wore in 1974.
