BT-13A Valiant modified to resermble a WW2 Japanese "Val", complete with under-fuselage "bomb". Attending the 1991 Dayton International air show in the company of RAF VC-10 K.2 ZA142 of 101 Squadron, ex BOAC G-ARVI.

Built in November 1942 for USAAF as C-60A 42-55884. Civilianised in 1945. Acquired by the CAF in September 1971 and painted as an RAF "Hudson" wearing the "QA" codes of 224 Squadron.

Confederate Air Force P-47D at their HQ airfield in 1975. The aircraft was ex Peru Air Force 119. This crashed on 9 Feb 1980 but was rebuilt using parts from other aircraft and eventually became G-THUN, N147PF and back to G-THUN.

Seen at the marvellous, Wings Over Gillespie airshow, Sentimental Journey taxies in after landing. Remarkably, this aircraft was doing pleasure flights of about 45 minute duration at $495. I was told that every enthusiast should make such a flight before they died. This, for me, would probably have been at the point at which I told my Wife !

This aircraft carries its Bu No 43763 on the fin. It is ex 41-34528, seen at Wings over Gillespie
