This photo may have been taken at Misawa, the 356th TFS' homebase from 1968 until 1971. This F-4C shot down a MiG-17 in 1967, when operated by 480th TFS / 366th TFW at Da Nang AB. It is currently preserved in Wisconsin as "64-0751".

This Misawa based F-4D was delivered to South Korea as early as 1972, so only one year after this picture was taken.

Rare F-4E photo of 36th TFS still wearing the UK tailcode. In 1974, the 36th TFS had just transitioned from the F-4D to the F-4E, while with 3rd TFW at Kunsan, RoK. In that same year, the unit was transferred to the 51st Composite Wing at Osan, RoK, where the OS tailcode was applied. Location where this picture was taken needs confirmation.

The UK tailcode transferred from 356th TFS at Misawa (green fin color) to 36th TFS at Kunsan (red fin color) in March 1971. This is a F-4D from the latter unit. It was later delivered to the South Korean air force.

Unsure whether this pic was taken at the 356th TFS homebase of Misawa, Japan. This aircraft later transferred to Hill AFB where it crashed on 3 September 1976.
