Actually F2H-4 BuNo 127663, Taken on Charge in 1953 and served at Key West (FAWTU), Cecil Field (VF-11), USS Coral Sea, Cherry Point (VMF-533), Jacksonville (VF-22) and Quonset Point (VFAW-4) before transfer to Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) Jacksonville in 1962. Moved to museum in 1970 and painted as F2H-3 BuNo 126419 of VF-92

Delivered in '74. First flown by VF-24 from 20 Dec'75 to 18 Jan'80, with modex NG-212 and NG-200. Moved to VF-114 (NH-117) Jan-Oct'80, to VF-211 (NG-117, NG-111, NG-106) Oct'80-Sep'85. Briefly flew with VF-32 (AB-223) in 1987. On 5 Oct'88 transferred to VF-124, where it flew for 6 years before its final assignment. Back to VF-24 (NG-201) on 25 Aug'94. Decommissioned 8 Oct'94 and loaned by the National Naval Aviation Museum's Loan Program to the San Diego Air and Space Museum, first at Gillespie Field, in 2025 it will move to Balboa Park.
