The B/1-111th Avn Reg of the Mississippi Army National Guard deployed with the 77th Combat Aviation Brigade to Operation Inherent Resolve. The unit used Camp Buehring as base station, deployed for combat operations to Iraq for some weeks and returned to Buehring on a rotational base for maintenance. The unit was deployed to OIR for a year.

This Squirrel has adopted a more 'operational' grey colour scheme. Originally delivered to the RAAF as A22-022 on 22 November 1984, it initially served at the ADF Helicopter School at RAAF Fairbairn (Canberra). It transferred to the RAN in October 2000 but retained its original blue and white colours until recently.
