In Northeast Airlines (UK) colours with British Airways titles. Trident 1Es weren't selling. Hawker Siddley built 15 but only sold 10. They needed to offload 5 white tails. Channel Airways agreed to buy them. then reduced its order to two. Two of three due to go to Channel, G-AVYC and 'D were then sold to Newcastle-based BKS Air Transport in 1969. In November 1970, BKS changed its name to Northeast Airlines. In July 1973, Northeast became part of the British Airways group. Hence the hybrid livery you see in the picture. It had been repainted into British Airways before it was destroyed in a take-off accident at Bilbao in 1975.

Delivered to CAF in January 1991. Modified to tanker configuration in 1993.

Originally one of IBM's bizjet fleet back in the early 1970s, the lengthened radar nose indicates that it was being used for different purposes by its later owner, Norden Systems Inc.

Photographed during a pre-arranged Saturday factory tour, inside the Flight Test hangar (12A). The aircraft was delivered to customer Trans States Airlines as N338TE two days later and operated for Trans World Express.

Originally ordered by Ontario Express, but NTU. Used for a time by BAe for trials - spot the nose probe!

Outside the British Aerospace factory, after being repossessed. Ex-Aliblu of Italy (I-BLUA), its next lease was to Loganair in July 1991 as G-LOGU.

Prestwick was used quite a lot for Concorde training around that time, although it was usually British Airways ones. There were two prototypes, then two pre-production aircraft. On its first visit to Prestwick, this is the second pre-production one, 102, built at Toulouse. First Concorde to fly to the United States Dallas, Texas. In 1976 it was retired from development flying and put on public display at Orly Airport, Paris. It was painted in British Airways colours on the other side.
