Previously flew as SE-ANF

Designed and built in 1909 by Hans Grade in Magdeburg. This restored original aircraft is believed to be the second of about 80 examples completed. The pilot sat below the wings and above the main wheels.

1931-built. This aircraft served many years in Switzerland as CH-358 and HB-UXI.

Tilt jet test aircraft

Built in 1981 by the Wagner Family for a planned escape flight from East to West Germany. Powered by two motor cycle engines with pusher props. The project was uncovered by the authorities and the family was arrested before the flight could be attempted.

First World War Luftwaffe reconnaissance biplane.

This original, unmodified Type A biplanewas flight demonstrated by the Wright Brothers at Tempelhof Berlin in 1909. It has large twin pusher props and straight wing leading edges. Landings were made on the skids.

This M 17 was one of the eight two-seat light sports monoplanes built by in 1925 and powered by a Bristol Cherub engine.

The second and sole surviving example of the VJ 101C tilt jet test aircraft of 1964.

The Stark Turbulent D was a German closed cockpit development of the French Druine Turbulent light aircraft. This example is preserved in the Deutsches Museum.

Designed by Etrich. This example built by Rumpler in 1910 and flown from Munich to Berlin in 1911 - hence markings. Preserved in the Deutsches Museum since 1911.

1925-built three-seat seaplane registered in Fiji. Exhibited in the city centre museum.

This Schwalbe survived the war, only to be riddled with stupid viewing holes. Come on, Deutsches Museum, please fix her!

The Junkers Junior was first flown in 1929. This aircraft was built in 1931.

The Rumpler C.IV was a main German reconnaisance aircraft of the Great War. This original example is preserved at the Deutsches Museum in downtown Munich.

First flown in June 1919, the metal Junkers F13 was one of the first real airliners. No aircraft could look more like a Meccano toy plane, but have a good look and see how advanced it actually was for its day. The aircraft shown here was delivered to Afghanistan in 1928 and by 1937 it served with the Afghan air force. In 1968 its wreck was recovered from a scrapyard in Kabul and donated to the Deutsches Museum. Reconstructed and on display since 1984. According to some sources the construction number is not certain and could also be c/n 2019. The real D-366 was c/n 723.
