Built in 1935 by ASJA in Sweden under licence, serving until 1953. Civilianised as SE-BYM but later to the Malmen museum for display. Obtained over 40 years ago.

This aircraft was operated by the Swedish AF F19 during the Finnish Winter War. It was painted in Finnish colors.

Although wearing Finnish contemporary markings - which had nothing to do with the Nazis - it was actually a Swedish air force unit which fought the Russians from Kemi in northern Finland during the final two months of the 1939-40 Winter War. It had twelve Gladiator fighters and four Hart light bombers with open cockpits. Swedish Harts were all powered by Mercury radial engines. Note the skis carried for use by the crew in an emergency. This airframe did not actualy serve in Finland.
