For the 50 years Swedish air force open house some aircraft of the museum were put on display. F19 was a Swedish unit fighting with the Finnish air force during the 1939 Winter War. Photographer unknown

During the refurbishment of the 'early years hall' a part of the collection is squeezed together underneath the balcony. The aircraft cannot be viewed up close.

This aircraft was operated by the Swedish AF F19 during the Finnish Winter War. It was painted in Finnish colors.

Although wearing Finnish contemporary markings - which had nothing to do with the Nazis - it was actually a Swedish air force unit which fought the Russians from Kemi in northern Finland during the final two months of the 1939-40 Winter War. It had twelve Gladiator fighters and four Hart light bombers with open cockpits. Swedish Harts were all powered by Mercury radial engines. Note the skis carried for use by the crew in an emergency. This airframe did not actualy serve in Finland.
