Morning arrival. QTR915 arriving empty from Auckland. Weather conditions in Auckland necessitated this aircraft being returned to Adelaide without passengers on this Monday morning. On Tuesday morning it departed for Auckland and on Wednesday morning returned to Adelaide with passengers from where it continued to Doha.

This Sikorsky S-92A, C-GVZS, was built in Coatesville, PA and first flown as N160H. It was delivered to PHI (Petroleum Helicopters Inc) in Jan. 2012 and registered N920PH. Between early 2012 and 2019, it flew from PHI heliports in Louisiana (primarily Boothville, Houma and Amelia) to offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. It was permanently retired from the PHI fleet in Sep. 2019 after the company exited Chapter 11 and stored in New Jersey. Sold to Heli One Canada in April 2022 and ferried to CYVR in July 2022 as C-GVZS. Seen outside Heli-One after parts recovery. Cancelled Jan 31, 2023.

The aircraft arrived a few days ago on a diversion after an RH engine failure and fire just after take-off from Edinburgh. It is seen here under tow away from the terminal so that the engine can be replaced.
