After overshooting runway 35 during an aborted takeoff on September 22, 2008, the aircraft was written off. However, Icaro still used it for its flight attendant training and this plane was taken to Salcedo (Cotopaxi province) and was preserved at "Rumipamba de las Rosas Hotel". The idea was to use it as a trainer for evacuations and ditchings, but Icaro went bankrupt in 2011. As of July 2021 it was moved to a private location near Cuenca.

Damaged beyond repair 28 July 1977 whilst landing at Frans Star Ranch Brothel, Beatty, Nevada. Now abandoned by the side of the I-95 approx. 3 miles NE of Beatty.
