The Mercure was designed as a competitor to the Boeing 737-100 and 200 series. It first flew in 1971 and served with Air Inter, almost entirely within France due to a very poor range. This example is preserved at Speyer
Falsely painted as Czech AF 9825, but is in fact former Luftwaffe 2049 and before that East German AF 705. The real Czech 9825 is on display at the Letecké Muzeum Kbely, and photos of that are also present in the AirHistory database.
