small Trans Avia Export titles on forward fuselage - WFP titles on tail shining through

Brand new PC-12 c/n 1186 is arriving from the Pilatus factory at Buochs, Switzerland as PCH1186. Approaching Runway 31 to land for a fuel stop at Prestwick before continuing transatlantic on its delivery flight. Using a temporary ferry registration at this stage, became N186NX, then D-FRMT of QinetiQ GmbH.

Registered in February 1989.

This Rafale B started its career within the Armée de l'Air in 2006 and is seen here in full flight over France. The aircraft is equipped with four (dummy) Armament Air-Sol Modulaire (ASSM) 125 "Hammer" bombs. These are French developed precision guided munition, that entered service in 2007. This weapon is very precise and it is said that when launched at a range of more than 50 km from the target, it is able to hit it within one metre!

High above the French countryside, covered with beautiful white clouds, an Armée de l'Air Alpha Jet E paid a visit to a C-160 Transall tanker aircraft, although the small trainer is not capable of mid-air refuelling .
