First flight January 22nd 1973 and delivered to United Airlines April 27th 1973. It served UA all its flying years until stored in March 1999, and later broken up. Prior to the Winter Olympics 1994 at Lillehammer, Norway, United flew a daily flight to Gardermoen airport north of Oslo between February 11th and the 28th when the games were over. Photo is shot from a cafe in the terminal, through window, seen at push back for departure from rwy 19.

This Il-18 was originally delivered to the Soviet Government as CCCP-75553 in July 1964. It became DM-STF with Interflug in March 1967, DDR-STF in August 1981 and D-AOAO on German reunification in September 1990. It flew with BerLine from November 1991 until the airline ceased operations in March 1994. It then went to German European, Viola Avia Trans (as RA-75553), European Airlines (LZ-AZO, EL-ADY & T9-ABB) and Phoenix (T9-ABB & EX-405) before joining Anikay Air as EX-405 around March 2005. It is now reported as stored at Biskek (FRU).

Camouflage to make it look a bit military but VH-FSA was always a civil aircraft. Withdrawn from use in 1977 at Bankstown Airport, Sydney. The museum acquired it in 1987 and trucked it to Uralla. Museum closed in 2013 and its exhibits sold. What happened to -FSA is not known but it had been removed from the site before the end of 2014.
