This photo was taken shortly after delivery of the aircraft in its new all grey colour scheme. Operated by 314 Sqn. After having suffered a birdstrike on 16 January 1987 at Rheine Hopsten, it was wfu at Eindhoven, used for BDR training and subsequently preserved in a fake grey/green camouflage scheme there.

Built as a CV-440 in 1957 then modified by Canadair to CV-540 CF-LMA. It then passed to the RCAF as CC-109 serial 11162. In 1966 it was civilianized and further modified to CV-580 configuration. Here registered to Kelowna Flightcraft Air Charter for use by Purolator since December 1985 and re-registered as C-FHNM by Nolinor in 2005. Cancelled from the register on 5 October 2021 having been scrapped.

Looking freshly painted in all-over light grey, with no squadron marks. This was one of several different camouflages seen on Dutch NF-5s in the mid-1980s.

In the summer of 1986, Twenthe-based 315 Squadron were in transition from flying NF-5s to F-16s, with examples of both types active and displaying the squadron's lion's head badge
