VH-CJQ was registered in April 1982 and remained current in August 2017.

Taken from a Super King Air on finals to runway 28. Rwy 10/28 has been extended since this picture to accommodate Dash 8s. The airport was built by the Australian Army in 1974. Until then the island depended on two Shorts flying boats (VH-BRC and BRF) that operated to Sydney off the lagoon at the far end of Runway 28. Tides and weather made the service unreliable, as did the age of the aircraft.

Sold back to Pilatus in 1993. Became N111FX

Preserved since 1.68 when she joined the Skyfame museum at Staverton after service including Kenya and Suez with 24 Sqn (marking in this shot) and 36 Sqn, this Hastings has since been a well-known exhibit at Duxford. Now housed inside and recently restored in an early all-silver scheme

Leased by GPA to Hold Trade Air as 5N-ATC in 9.91 but stored at Southend from 1993 and broken up there in 8.01

Sold in Papua New Guinea in 1993 as P2-ALY
