Acquired Jan 1973 ex Austrian Airlines OE-LCA. Sold to Aerotal Colombia Nov 1979 as HK-2402. Retired circa 1981.

Seen in the wonderful Army Museum in Brussels. I had arrived on a day that it was closed but was kindly allowed access and a free range of the place. This aircraft was ex F-BAMB and OO-LUT. It was later displayed in the museum as 43-14987 of the US Army.

I visited the Museum on a day that it was closed to the public but a kind gentleman let me in so that I had the place to myself which gave me the chance to remove barriers. This aircraft was devoid of markings under restoration.

Seen in the magnificent Musee de L'Armee in Brussels.

The aircraft has a non-standard covered cockpit. It was one of many that had been stored at Grimbergen from the Burgerlijke Luchtvaartschool (Civil Aviation Flying School), a government-owned organisation operated by Sabena.

A strange aircraft to be found in this marvellous Army museum, though a rare type.

In the Musée Royal de l'Armée. This is an experimental aircraft from 1934.

I turned up at the Museum on a day that it was closed but was kindly allowed access and the freedom of the place, including away from the public areas. I was told that this 1st World War aircraft, totally unrestored had been found in a barn just a few months earlier. Not the best of photographs, being rather contre-jour, but hopefully one that people will want to see. It looked better somehow than if it had been restored.

I had turned up at this marvellous Museum on a day that it was closed but was kindly allowed access, including the off-show areas. My thanks to the staff who gave me the run of the place. What a day !!!
