When the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland was dissolved and Malawi and Zambia gained independence, CAA became a holding company and the Viscounts operated with nameplates for the new airlines; Air Malawi, Air Rhodesia, and Zambia Airways. To Air Malawi as 7Q-YKO 1 January 1968, 1 January 1968 to Air Rhodesia as VP-YKB, to Air Zimbabwe Rhodesia June 1979, name changed to Air Zimbabwe February 1980. Re-registered Z-YNB October 1983. Withdrawn from use at Harare in December 1985 and broken up by 2000. Seen here at Durban in the first Air Rhodesia livery carried on the Viscounts. Photographer unknown
