After a visit to the Fokker factory, Dutch Queen Juliana, Prince Bernhard and their imperial guest, the Shah of Iran, flew to Leeuwarden in this brand new TAA Friendship to inspect some Friesian cattle, horses, and jet fighters. The Shah piloted the aircraft himself on the way back to Schiphol, assisted by Fokker chief pilot Jas Moll. The sales pitch worked and Iran became a good F27 customer.
