Miles M-5 Sparrowhawk sporting aircraft displayed at the Ringway Air Show in April 1948. Flown by Miles Aircraft during WW2 as U-3 and U-0223. Destroyed in crash at Nottingham (Tollerton) on June 19, 1948.
Mosquito NF.30 of 605 (County of Warwick) Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force. Displayed at the 1948 613 Squadron air show at Ringway. Built by DH at Leavesden, Hertfordshire, in mid 1944 and struck off charge on 1 December 1948.
This was the three-seat prototype for the Scottish Aviation Pioneer, powered by a Gypsy Queen inline engine. It was modified to a four-seat layout with the Alvis Leonides engine and became the prototype Pioneer. Displayed at the April 1948 Ringway airshow.
