Originally built for the USAAF in 1945 as a Douglas C-47B-30DK and allocated the serial 44-76552. Cn amended due to inadvertent duplication. Shipped immediately to Australia and taken on RAAF charge as A65-91 on 6 April 1945. Served with the RAAF until 15 Jan 1986 when sold to Golden West Airways.
