The T-37 was used to train German pilots in the USA. This example is preserved in Germany to commemorate this fact.

German military pilots received their training on these aircraft at Sheppard AFB , Texas, hence a small number of them were transported to Germany after their service life, for display purposes.

First solo of Cadet Jack Mol, RNLAF. UPT 80-03. First class of 10 Dutch guys to go through the pre-ENJJPT West German fighter pilot training program. The T-37s and T-38s used were actually German owned, but flew in USAF markings.

Many RNLAF fighter pilots received part of their training at Sheppard AFB in T-37Bs of 89 FTS / 80th FTW "Banshees" (or Burma Banshees, as they were called since their WWII combat experience in Burma, designated 80 FG, while operating P-40s, P-47s and P-38s). This one was shipped to the Netherlands to be preserved at the National Military Museum.
