This remaining nose section still has the pilots' seats and full instrument panel installed. Original USAAF serial was 42-72719.

Delivered to the USAAF as C-54A 42-72261 then to the US Navy as R5D-1 50844 in 1944. To Douglas in 1946 and converted to DC-4 conversion number 37. To Pan American as N88934 in 1947 then to Pan American Grace Airways in 1949. To the Spanish Air Force as T.4-10 in 1962. Preserved at the Museo del Aire from 1977.

Built at Chicago in 08.44 to USAAF order as C-54A 42-72261 but delivered direct to US Navy as R5D-1 BuAer 50844. Sold to Douglas 06.46 who converted it to DC-4 No. 37 for Pan Am as N88934 delivered 06.47. Transferred to Panagra 1949. Sold to Spanish AF T4-10 in 1962. Preserved at Cuatro Vientos from 1979.

This is as good a shot as it's possible to get of this nice exhibit, thanks to the wing of the adjacent Caribou. Originally 42-72261 and one of 17 Skymasters operated by the Spanish AF; 15 were still in use till 1976
