VH-BJB fitted with a modified canopy from a Wackett trainer, the only Cadet to be so equipped. The aircraft was converted to a cropduster, without a canopy and crashed while spraying at Woorndoo, Victoria, on November 28, 1961. Restored to register as VH-RUO in 2000 and since sold to the RAAF Museum at Point Cook. Displayed in its original configuration and markings as A6-34. Photo from: State Library of Victoria.

Broadmeadow was Newcastle's airport from 1929 to 1963. The proximity of houses and other limitations led to its closure and the resident aero club relocated to Maitland 30km away. Broadmeadow is now the site of sports grounds. Photographer's name is not known.
