Built as SNB-2 for the US Navy as BuNo 51262 and modified to SNB-5 in 1954. Registered N2808J to the Bureau of Naval Weapons, Washington DC from 1966 to 1969, then transferred to US Department of Agriculture. To Chicago-Lewis University airfield, IL in 1981, restored by 2018 with "Lewis School of Aeronautics" titles. To Illinois Aviation Museum at Bolingbrook, IL in 2020

Remanufactured at Wichita in 1954 by Beech from AT-11 41-9524 to become C-45H 52-10757. Registered N166ZA in 1963 to USDA Forest Service at Portland, switching to Department of Agriculture at Mission in 1975. Crashed at Edinburg, TX in a bean field after takeoff on a ferry flight on 6th October 1991, right engine (which had failed due to loss of oil pressure) torn off

Intended to be a C-47B (43-49012) for the USAAF, the aircraft was delivered to the Navy as an R4D-6, serial 50761. It was later re-designated as an R4D-6Q. It was transferred to the Army in 1958, then in 1962 was again re-designated as an EC-47J. After retirement from military service it was transferred to the US Departmet of Agriculture in 1976.
