Built in 1976 and seen at Fairoaks being prepared for its delivery to Indonesia as PK-KTH where it worked for its entire life. It was withdrawn from use in 2000 and finally broken up in 2003. Scanned from a slide.
Following the first heavy rain shower (commonplace in the Farnborough area in September) this strange bird landed. I did not know what it was, except that it was obviously an Islander of some sort. It was described as 'Three Engined Islander in the Air Pic check list. The three-engined BN-2A Mk3 was not formally named 'Trislander' until January 1971.
