After having landed in the mouth of the Campbell River, proceeding carefully round the corner of Tyee Spit to its Vancouver Island Air base at the far end of the line of sheltered docks. The Vazar turbine conversion was carried out by previous owners over the winter of 2005/2006.

Delivered to the US Army in 1956 and discharged while stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. It went to Costa Rica's Guardia Civil Air Wing then was flown with one other Otter and three Skywagons en masse to Winnipeg in 1980. In 2011 it went to Vancouver Island Air as C-GVIX and current as such in 2022.
