Presidential Airways was started by one of the co-founders of earlier venture People Express in 1985, using B732s between Washington Dulles and Boston. Eight 146s were added and this one became N403XV on delivery after Farnborough 1986. The airline became overstretched in 1989 and went Chapter 11 late that year. This 146 was returned to BAe and went to LAN Chile in March 1990 as CC-CET but was w/o at Puerto Williams on 20th February 1991 when it overran the runway into the Beagle Channel

Registered as G-OHAP before delivery to Presidential Airways as N403XV in 1986. Repossessed by British Aerospace in 1989. To Lan-Chile as CC-CET in 1990. Overran the runway into the Beagle Channel while landing at Puerto Williams, Navarino Island, Chile, in 1991. 20 of the occupants died and 52 survived.

Exhibited by British Aerospace at Farnborough in 1986 shortly before delivery to Presidential Airways as N403XV.

Delivered as N408XV to Presidential Airways. WFU during a crash at landing on 20 Feb.1991 in Puerto Williams airport in Chile as it was operated by LAN Chile as CC-CET; Unfortunately 20 victims lost there lives among the 73 people aboard.

This ill-fated 146 was later sold to Lan Chile as CC-CET and was damaged beyond repair when it over-ran the runway at Puerto Williams on February 20, 1991. Other regns were G-OHAP and G-5-061.
