Rolled out, first flown and delivered in April 1947 to MacDonald Aviation in Edmonton, Canada. They were one of five major distributors of the Seabee in Canada and the aircraft they resold carried the CF-DY* and CF-FJ* series of registrations. CF-DYG was owned by the same pilot from 1972 until the registration was cancelled in 2008.
